How to make sure your child gets a good nights sleep

   Posted in:

From child birth, children can have all sorts of problems with sleeping through the whole night.

As a child gets older different issues can arise.

However, some general tips can help through-out.

First consider any current problems, like teething, illness or the weather.
You can prepare a child for these circumstances with medication, different clothing and bedding.

Always make sure that you child is tired, make sure your child has had plenty of fresh air during the day and enough exercise for their age.

Next, make sure you child has had enough to eat and drink, although remember not to feed too near bedtime.

Getting your child to sleep can be helped with a bed time story, music or you can sing to your child.

Also getting your child use to a routine, a certain time or event when always occurs before bed time. Of course the daily routine is also important, a change can cause problem. The weekly holiday can also be a problem, with no nursery, playgroup or school. This period at the weekend should be likewise filled.
